Mountaintop engagement session | Hannah + Doug.
OKAY – SO HERE’S THE BACKSTORY…
Hannah and Doug met in college at the University of Kentucky. they started out as two best friends which led to them dating, falling in love, and now, come this summer, pledging their forevers to one another. their love languages? – adventuring in nature, road-tripping, spontaneity, all things Mumford and Sons, and growing deeper with one another in their faith.
safe to say that after learning about their love story, i was unbelievably excited to document these two and their one-of-a-kind love. our session began atop a beautiful mountain peak in Frederick County, Maryland. the wind was definitely on our side that day because, honestly, let’s just talk about how amazing Hannah’s hair looked whisping across her face…
LOL BUT HERE’S THE PART THAT I HAVEN’T TOLD ANYONE…
before the session, I actually climbed the trail on my own just to make sure that i could find the peak in mind without asking these two to hike trail after trail. great plan, right? that’s what i thought until silly ol’ me got lost along the way [#typical].
it all worked out, though, and i’m super happy to say that Hannah, Doug, and I were able to find the spot seamlessly. but still…i’m so awkward.
SERIOUSLY, THOUGH: THIS WAS A GREAT DAY.
we truly had the best time exploring this beautiful mountain. not only did we venture to the mountain’s peak, but we also took advantage of the beautiful trees, forests, and nearby wheat fields.
thank you so much Hannah and Doug for being so incredibly sweet and hiring me to capture your love story! I’m so glad we got to adventure together and enjoy an afternoon of laughter, windy poses, and frolicking through wheat fields, together!
